He may be hotter than hot right now but Oscar-nominated Brokeback Mountain star Heath Ledger is determined to play it cool in terms of his career.
The popular Australian star is reportedly planning to take at least a year off from filmmaking to spend time with his baby daughter, Matilda, and to allow his partner, and Brokeback co-star, Michelle Williams the chance to pursue her own promising career.
Heath made the comments after missing out on the best actor prize at Sunday's Baftas when he pledged to hang up his acting boots in favour of being a stay-at-home dad.
"I'm going to try not to work at all this year and send Michelle out to bring in the cash," he told reporters. "I'll be Mr Mom. It's something that's very important to me - something that every dad, if he can, should do his best to achieve."
There will be no such resting for Brokeback Mountain director Ang Lee, however. The Oscar favourite has already announced his next project as being a biography of '60s singer Dusty Springfield.
Dusty is most famous for the hits Wishin' and Hopin' and You Don't Have To Say You Love Me but she was also a renowned bisexual who was quoted as saying that men frightened her.
Oscar-nominee Charlize Theron has reportedly signed on to play Dusty, while supermodel Kate Moss is on Ang's shortlist to play a socialite lover of the singer.
It seems Ang's rolling stone could well be gathering plenty of Moss...
